Maple Leaf Trivet made from Recycled Glass and heat resistant to 340 degrees Fahrenheit / 170 degrees Celsius. This trivet can withstand the heat of a boiling stock pot and will maintain its beauty over many years. The back of the trivet has been drilled to allow for easy hanging to adorn a wall and has protective feet on the back to prevent it from scratching fine surfaces.
Well before the coming of the first European settlers, Canada's aboriginal peoples had discovered the food properties of maple sap which they gathered every spring. According to historians, the maple leaf began to serve as a Canadian symbol as early as 1700.
