Metal Arts Group Lovebirds .925 Sterling Silver Wire Drop Earrings
Haida and Tlingit Indians have two main clans, the Eagles and the Ravens. Traditionally, members of the same clan cannot marry, so marriages signified the joining of an Eagle to a Raven. These earrings designed by Odin Lonning, the Eagle and Raven, when linked together, are known as lovebirds, symbolizing the strengths and benefits derived from their union.
The earrings measure 1 1/2 inches long (as measured from the top of the sterling silver earwires) by 3/4 inches wide.
